The Gymnasia Project , devised and directed by Andrew Crayford has toured various London galleries and art centres since it began in 2015.

Recent ongoing residencies include Candid Arts Trust, Art House Studios, and Barons Court Theatre.

Our spellbinding theatrical life drawing session incorporates a performance aspect with movement and acrobatic dance inspired poses that has never been seen before.

The first half is one hour and fifteen minutes long and is improvised in keeping with its themes of ancient greek Gymnasia nude exercise. Single yoga inspired male poses are struck whilst a female dancer responds gracefully to him. Next choreographed lifting poses are executed and held for between 2 and 5 minutes. The poses are quick, organic and fluid allowing the models complete creative integrity and self expression. This is designed to accomodate swift gestural drawing.

The second half is one hour long and comprises of three twenty minute poses inspired by greek mythology. These poses are for more detailed drawing.

At the moment sessions are being run remotely #candidartstrust. They are suitable for all levels of experience and an excellent tutor is on hand to assist when required.
